About Edina, MN
Edina has grown from a village of mostly Scottish and Irish immigrants to a full service metropolitan community of more than 47,000. Edina is located to the southwest of Minneapolis. With many major highways running through or nearby Edina, it is easily accessible to all residents of the Twin Cities metro area.
Major employers in Edina include Fairview Southdale Hospital, Macy’s, Nash Finch Co, Dairy Queen and ConAgra Foods. Edina has several shopping centers including Southdale Center, the first fully enclosed mall in the country! Edina also is home to the Galleria, Yorktown and Centenial Lakes Plaza, as well as the thriving downtown area “50th and France.”
